Leicester Taiko brings the thunderous energy of traditional Japanese taiko drumming to audiences across the UK. Led by Kate and Sam, they offer performances, workshops, and team-building sessions for all skill levels.
Combining cultural tradition with modern rhythms, their mission is to unite communities through music while showcasing the exhilarating power, precision, and joy of taiko drumming.

Aki Kitagawa - Koto
Aki Kitagawa is a koto player based in Nottingham. He plays the Ikuta-ryu koto and is a member of Sawai Koto Institute. His repertoire of music include both Japanese classical that gives a delicate atmosphere, and modern music that are upbeat and occasionally intense.
He actively collaborates with musicians from the UK and across Europe to explore the possibility of koto and outreach to wider music communities.

Jero11
Jero11 is a contemporary shamisen player who blends traditional Japanese string music with modern influences and performance styles. His work highlights the emotional range and versatility of the shamisen, combining powerful rhythms with melodic storytelling.
Through engaging and expressive performances, Jero11 introduces audiences to the depth of this iconic Japanese instrument while making traditional music feel accessible, dynamic, and relevant to modern listeners.
